I’ve Fallen In Love With You:

Written by: Cynthia L. M.
Date written: November 19, 2007 {11:30am-11:55am}

Can this be true?
Am I really falling for you?
Yours are the arms that held me tight
When my body shook in fright.

I never want to let you go.
I love to see your face all aglow
And shining when we kiss.
I can’t think of anything better than this.

I’ve been used and abused,
Broken and confused,
But, baby, you’ve rescued me
From the pain I used to be.

Can this be true?
Am I really falling for you?
Yours are the arms that held me tight
When I could no longer see the light.

You’ve picked up the pieces to my heart,
And now I’m hoping to never be apart.
With myself, I don’t think I could live
If I don’t offer you all I’ve got to give.

Baby, You’ve taught me how to love right,
And now I live forevermore in your light.
Let me retire to your loving arms,
Because with you, I know no harm.

Now I know this is true;
I’ve fallen in love with you.
Yours are the arms that hold me tight
When I sleep curled into you night after night.

Dearest Dreamland:

I am lying on my bed,
Eyes wide open.
My love is asleep peacefully beside me,
A smile playing on his sweet face.
Smiling, I brush a lock of his dark silken hair from his angelic face.
I leave the bed, thirsty, and he doesn’t stir.
I look back at him, one hand on the door.
Oh! He is gone, like he had never been there!
I rush to the bed, and it’s cold, so cold.
My body trembles as hot tears course down my cheeks.
I turn around, and then freeze in my tracks,
For this is my bedroom no longer.
No! It is the aisle in the church!
My love stands at the altar, a bright smile on his face.

Follow the Rainbow

There once was a little man, quite old,
Dressed in green from head to toe.
He said he'd give you his pot of gold
If you just follow the rainbow.
You looked up and around,
But saw no colors in the sky.
Then rain began to wash the ground.
When the rain stopped, you looked up high
And saw the promised rainbow!
So you followed it to the end,
And found the leprechaun with the gold!
He smiled, gave you the gold, and said, "Someday we'll play again!"

My Dream:

I dig my toes into the sand.
I smile when you hold my hand.
The waves splash against my feet.
Standing there, our eyes meet.
I got weak in the knees
When you leaned down to kiss me.
You left me standing there,
Wishing you'd run your hands through my hair.
I got nervous and bit my lower lip
When you put your hands on my hips.
In your arms, I felt safe.
I stood there, staring at your face.
You leaned down to kiss me once more.
With you, I felt so warm.
Snow starts to fall,
In addition, I'm having a ball.
I looked up, closing my eyes.
In knots, my stomach ties.
I spread my arms, twirled in circles, laughing.
I made more snow fall, listening to the faint sound of your clapping.
Suddenly it's all over.
You disappear; I've lost my lover.

Just Another Distant Memory:

Sometimes I wonder if you still think about me,
Or are we just another distant memory?
If I were to just die,
Would you cry?
Would you even care?
Life just isn't fair.
I just want you to know that I still love you.
Do you still love me too?
Or are we just another distant memory?
Am I just another dead leaf falling off of a tree?
Would you be happy if I were gone?
Sometimes I wonder if you'd notice if I just disappeared.
Or are you too good to shed a single tear?
Did you ever really mean it when you told me you loved me?
Or are we just another distant memory?
